Practice - Klahani Park/Mt. Estekewelan Hike

Peewees and Bantams:

PeeWees - Please bring ski striding poles, wear jacket, gloves/mitts and an toque.

Bantams: Bring hill bounding poles. Warm clothing may be necessary.

Midgets and Juveniles: Hiking Mt. Estekewelan near Falkland. Access road is rough - 4x4 vehicles only.

We will meet at 9:30am in Falkland at the stampede grounds which is on the left side of the highway as you leave Falkland headed to Kamloops. The drive to Falkland is 40 to 45 minutes from Salmon Arm.

The hike is quite steep in places so you need good runners or hiking boots. The trail gets up to 1700 meters and it could be chilly so bring warm clothes. Also bring gloves because there are ropes in a couple of the downhill sections to hold onto.  Be sure to bring lunch and water.

The forecast isn't quite as good as it was a couple days ago. If it is pouring rain Saturday morning we will go with a practice at Klahani Park. Phil will make the call by 8am and send an email to let you know what's happening.
