Bike KVR Rail Trail

We will ride the KVR rail trail Myra Canyon to Penticton 80 km ( the same route as my event the Okanagan Trestles Tour) www.okanagantrestlestour.com it is an incredible experience . www.okanagantrestlestour.com/the-route

Leave Salmon Arm at 7:00am (families arrange car pooling on their own)

It is a 2 hour drive to Myra Canyon from Salmon arm - google maps Myra Canyon Bike rentals for location ( take Myra Canyon Forest Service road - not June Springs road to Myra Canyon.

We will ride 9:30am to 3:30pm ( 6 hours with a 30 minute stop for lunch at Chute Lake) 5.5 hours ride time. Some may longer to get a 100 km ride.

Then swim at Penticton 3:30- 4:30pm at Okanagan Lake Park

Home by 7:30pm.

It will be a big day.

Bring lots of food, sport drink, etc. Athletes riding the 80 km route can put lunch and extra water, sport drink in my car. My car will be driven to Chute Lake for Lunch.

Drive from Salmon Arm to Myra Canyon 7:00am to 9:15am ready to ride at 9:30am - make sure your bike is in good condition.

Then drivers of those vehicles drive to Chute Lake (half way point and meet us for lunch) 12:00pm - 12:30 pm there are two drive options depending on vehicles - the easiest is to drive to Penticton then to Naramata then to Chute Lake. That drive will take 2.25 hours as you have to drive around the lake. And it will take the riders 2.5 hours to get to Chute Lake so the timing should work out well.

Then after lunch the drivers go to Little Tunnel which is 30 minute drive from Chute Lake on your way back to Penticton. Check out little tunnel wait for the riders, it is a cool place to hang out and if there are any bike issues there is a ride back from them. Then drivers go to Okanagan Lake Park on lakeshore drive in Penticton and wait for the riders to arrive and go for a swim.

Parents driving can ride Myra Canyon 12km then ride back to your car and drive to Penticton, once in Penticton park near Okanagan Lake Park - that is where we will finish and if you want you can ride your bike to the KVR and ride towards the Larch Hills group, we will follow the KVR until Vancouver Street and come down Vancouver Street to Okanagan Lake Park. Then ride back with the group.
